TheYavue Official Website › Privacy Policy
Privacy PolicyThe Theyavvue privacy policy for this TheYavue website
This website does not take payments, does not run advertising trackers and does not store form submissions on a server. The contact form opens your own email client and sends to [email protected]. Order records live with the order desk, which is a separate system, and card details are only ever entered at the seller’s checkout.
Written to be read rather than to be defensible, and short because there genuinely is not much of it.
What this TheYavue website collects
| What | When | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your name and email | If you write to the website desk | To reply to you | For as long as the correspondence needs, then deleted |
| The content of your message | If you write to the website desk | To answer it, and to correct a page if you have found an error | Corrections are logged against the page; the message is not kept |
| Standard server log data | On every visit, as any web server does | Security and diagnostics | Rotated on the host’s ordinary schedule |
| Nothing else | — | — | — |
There is no account to create, no newsletter to join and no cart on this website.
The contact form is worth one sentence of its own, because form privacy is where most small websites quietly collect more than they say. This one uses a mailto action: it opens whatever email client you already use and composes a message. Nothing is posted to a server here and nothing is stored here.
Your card details are never entered on this website at any point. Every order button hands you to the seller’s own checkout, and the payment relationship is with them.
What this TheYavue website does not do
- No advertising trackers, pixels or third-party analytics beacons.
- No selling, renting or sharing of anything you send.
- No mailing list, and no adding you to one because you wrote in.
- No passing your details to the manufacturer.
- No payment processing, and no card details held anywhere on this site.
- No account, no login and no stored profile.
The reason that list can be short is that this website is a set of static pages. There is no application behind it collecting anything, which removes most of the ways a website normally accumulates data about people.
TheYavue order data, which lives somewhere else
This is the part that matters most and it is the part that is not on this website at all.
When you buy, the transaction happens at the seller’s checkout. The order record that results, including what was bought, what was paid, where it shipped and the order ID, is held by the order desk. That desk is reachable on +1 (315) 724-2018 and it is what a refund is processed against.
The website address at [email protected] cannot see any of it. That is not a policy position, it is how the two systems are arranged, and it is why every refund instruction on this website points at a telephone number rather than at an email.
Payment card details are held by the payment processor at the checkout, under their own terms. Neither this website nor this desk holds them.
| Data | Held by | Reachable at |
|---|---|---|
| Your message to the website desk | This desk | [email protected] |
| Your order record | The order desk | +1 (315) 724-2018 |
| Your card details | The seller’s payment processor | Their own terms, at the checkout |
| Your return | The order desk | 498 Seventh Avenue, Floor 19, New York, NY 10018, USA |
Three separate holders. A request about one of them cannot be answered by another.
Your rights over TheYavue data, and how to use them here
Depending on where you live you may have a right to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to its use. This desk will answer any of those requests regardless of which jurisdiction you are writing from, because the alternative is checking somebody’s address before deciding whether to be reasonable.
Write to [email protected]. Say what you are asking for. If the request concerns an order rather than correspondence, it has to go to the order desk on +1 (315) 724-2018, because that is where the record is.
For correspondence held here the answer is usually short, because there is usually very little: an email thread, and nothing else.
- Website correspondence: [email protected].
- Order records: +1 (315) 724-2018. This desk cannot see them.
- Card details: held by the payment processor, under their terms.
- No jurisdiction check. The request is answered either way.
Cookies, children and changes to this TheYavue policy
Cookies. This website sets no tracking cookies. It is a static site and the pages do not need any to work. Your browser may store ordinary things of its own, which is not something this desk sets or reads.
Children. TheYavue is for adults 18 and over and this website is not directed at children. Nothing here is designed to collect information from anybody under 18, and if something reaches the website desk from a child it is deleted rather than answered.
External links. This website links out to PubMed, to the FDA, to the National Institutes of Health and to the seller’s checkout. Those are other organisations’ sites with their own privacy terms, and following a link takes you outside this one.
Changes. If this policy changes, the review date at the foot of the page moves and the change is made on the page rather than announced elsewhere. Last reviewed September 2026 by Dr. Linh Chieu, OD.
Why this TheYavue website is built the way it is
A privacy policy that lists what a site does not collect is only credible if the site is built in a way that makes collecting difficult, so it is worth describing the construction.
These pages are static HTML. They are generated once, written to disk and served as files. There is no application behind them, no database, no session and no user record, which removes most of the mechanisms by which a website ordinarily accumulates data about the people reading it.
There is one JavaScript file and it does four things: opens the mobile menu, shows the bottom bar once you have scrolled past the hero, reveals sections as they come into view, and prints the current year in the footer. None of the four sends anything anywhere.
The external requests a page makes are the two Google Fonts origins for the typefaces, and that is the complete list. There is no analytics script, no tag manager, no pixel and no chat widget. Those four are how most sites end up collecting far more than their policy describes.
| Component | Present? | What it would have collected |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics script | No | Page views, referrers, a device fingerprint |
| Tag manager | No | Whatever was later added to it, without a policy change |
| Advertising pixel | No | Your visit, reported to an ad network |
| Chat widget | No | Conversation transcripts, held by a third party |
| Server-side form handler | No | Everything typed into the form |
| Web fonts | Yes | A request to Google's font origins |
| Server access logs | Yes, at the host | IP, time, page, user agent |
The last two are the whole of what a visit to this website produces anywhere.
The one thing on that list worth a reader’s attention is the fonts. Loading a typeface from a third-party origin makes a request to that origin, and this site makes two. Everything else on the page is served from the same host as the page.
TheYavue data and the two parties who are not this desk
Buying anything involves more than one organisation, and a privacy policy that only describes its own author is describing a third of the picture.
The payment processor. Card details are entered at the seller’s checkout and are held by whoever processes that payment, under their terms. This desk never sees them, never holds them and could not retrieve them if asked. That is the normal arrangement and it is the safe one.
The order desk. Order records live there: what was bought, what was paid, where it shipped, and the order ID. That record has to exist for a refund to be possible, which is the whole reason the 60-day window works at all. It is reachable on +1 (315) 724-2018.
The manufacturer. Not involved. Nothing you send this desk reaches them, and nothing about your order is passed to them by this desk.
The practical consequence is that a data request has to go to the right party, and there is no single address that reaches all three. That is a genuine inconvenience and it is the price of the separation that also keeps card details away from a retail website.
- Correspondence held by this desk: [email protected].
- An order record: the order desk on +1 (315) 724-2018.
- Card data: the payment processor, under the terms shown at the checkout.
- Nothing goes to the manufacturer from here.
